When a customer brings in a piece of jewellery in for repair, Andrew loves the thought of playing Sherlock Holmes. How has this piece of jewellery been made? Has it been repaired before? Is it worth repairing? Can it repaired within a budget? Can it repaired successfully?
This particular ring’s bezel has started to wear. Has it worn? Is the silver crumbling? There is not much point starting the repair without asking all these questions and finding the answers. Andrew sees the bezel starting to crumble. What will he do? Repair or replace it?
