When an item of jewellery comes in for restoration…….
When an item of jewellery comes in for restoration, we always try our best to restore the ring back to its former glory, but sometimes the former glary is just not good enough or it is pointless rebuilding upon a weak structure.
A Navajo ring was brought into Andrew’s shop to be repaired. After spending time working out the best scenario and the numerous was in which the ring could be repaired, Andrew thought best to completely remake the ring. Whilst he could have used the Lampert PUK welding machine, the strength needed for the ring to be worn was just not there on the original metal. To remake a ring is the last resort but Andrew is confident that he can make an exact copy.
